Senior Camera Systems Engineer

Seeking an innovative and experienced Systems Engineer to join a growing, venture funded Startup Company with operations in Mountain View, California to work on design of a unique auto focus product for cell phone industry.

Responsibilities:

Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers in specification, design and development of a new miniature auto focus device for use in digital camera modules. Create reference designs and build demonstration systems to integrate LensVector products into Mobile phone cameras and other consumer electronics devices. Interact with camera component suppliers like DSP, Image sensors etc. and customer design teams to support integration into end products. Participate in design reviews with customers and other engineering teams for camera designs. Manage projects with external contractors and vendors to develop reference designs and demonstration platforms for LensVector 's products.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with systems in Mobile phones and/or Consumer Electronics, with minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in real-time embedded firmware development.
  • Experience with integration of image sensors and or camera modules in mobile phone/handset applications OR relevant experience in camera system and firmware development
  • Intimate knowledge and implementation of imaging, image processing and algorithms.
  • Experience with electrical design (Circuit design, PCB layout) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of timely designs in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving challenging goals.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
